Raised in New Jersey, Mr Nicholas Bredimus looked at the world of hospitality, airlines, and software together and revolutionized all three areas of business. His career highlights include time-saving computer programs, airplane safety improvements, and even the design of luxury homes. Bredimus has brought astonishing passion to any and all areas, too.
It could be foreseen, though, that with his family history he was sure to reach the top. Its lines can be traced back into ancient history, Bredimus’ ancestry has associations with a great part of Europe. On his mother’s side, on the one hand, he descends from German and Scottish ancestry. A similarly varied mingling dominates the paternal line – ahead of their emigration in the 1800s, Bredimus’ forebears made their homes in England and Luxembourg. Even after arrival in the United States of America, they kept their immaculate work ethic and zeal to thrive and survive. Nicholas, together with his sisters and brothers, was a child of a father who worked as a mechanical design engineer and his spouse, a nurse. He would come to live in Texas, Kansas City, Arizona and Virginia.
And what, you may ask, did Nicholas Bredimus do with his upbringing and schooling? A string of prominent posts were soon his, each of them working for big airlines. Trans World Airlines (TWA), Hughes Airwest, Republic Airlines – these businesses would all at various times appoint him as a vice president. A dedicated software designer, his innovations in airline software are probably his trailblazing gift to the industry.
He is best known for a project for US Airways, namely his aircraft maintenance applications that can nowadays be found in use by the majority of air carriers. He created countless other programs for the airline and hospitality industry in addition, including unmanned systems to take and record flight bookings, employed now at fifty or more airlines, not to mention his innovative room booking software using Windows used by the hotel industry, the rollout for which was a major event at more than 700 hostelries. He went on to design a niche software application tagged QuikTix, the first automatic ticket ordering network. Though this was undoubtedly his specialty, Mr Bredimus also frequently worked in non-software areas. In his own business, overseeing IT for American Express, and as the inaugural president of a new American Airlines division his track record is undoubtedly remarkable.
At present date he has stepped back from Northwest Airlines and the software design industry, but he’s still making best use of his abilities. At present, he designs and builds high-priced condos deploying some of the newest smart technologies currently available.
