Heroes is an American science fiction television drama series. It is the story of a group of everyday people that soon discover that they have supernatural powers.

Overall, the series is off to a great start. It appears that there will be many more cast mates in the upcoming episodes of Heroes, and when things really start to weave together, Heroes has the makings of a great TV show. One problem will surely be that since this is a character driven show, comic’s fans may be left out in the cold when it comes to special effects. Another problem could be if the show takes to long to develop the relationships between the characters that will really help this series fly.

The really interesting thing is going to be in how the characters come together to stop the “larger issues” that Tim Kring speaks of earlier. And since we have a large cast of heroes, it will be good to see if any of these people will actually become villains as well.

Heroes has garnered a number of awards and nominations. The series was nominated in eight categories at the 2007 Primetime Emmy awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, and was also nominated for Best Television Series-Drama at the 2007 Golden Globes. The series won a People’s Choice Award in 2007 in the category of Best New Drama, and was named Program of the Year in 2007 by the Television Critics Association and Best International Program at the 2008 BAFTA Awards.
