Dem’ Bones Halloween Party
Throwing a Halloween party is fun but you can really punch up the creativity by throwing a theme party. Here are some Halloween party ideasfor throwing a “Dem’ Bones Halloween Party.”
- You can’t have enough skeletons. Hang them upright, place them in chairs, arrange them in silly positions. Use your imagination.
- Check your local party store or online for other wares. There are bony chandeliers, skeleton hand champagne flutes, skull candlesticks, etc.
- Bony Food- purchase skull molds to prepare festive cheese spreads and jello.
- Purchase plastic skulls and plain wooden bowing pins (can be found at most craft stores) for a fun game of skull bowling.
- Get an inflatable coffin and bury treasures – toys, candy and trinkets – inside for guests to “rob the grave.”
- Create a simple snack buffet with “food on the bone” such as chicken wings.
For cheese spread in a skull mold:
Place three cream cheese packages (8 oz.) in a bowl and allow to reach room temperature.
Mix in flavored soft cheese such as Rondele.
Line the skull mold with plastic wrap.
When you’re ready to serve the spread, unmold it onto a platter.
Use minced olives for the skull’s eyes, nose and mouth.
Arrange crackers around the cheese mold.
